Some exciting news about this poem I thought I'd share. The show is this week. I will be getting photo I will share.
I said OK ... and it's really very exciting to think that someone would want to use my work along with their own....
moth wing
I am as the dust on moth wing,
releasing
upon a moments outburst
my muted pigmentations.
Blue of swift faith,
orange-brown penetrations of desire,
abiding season of green,
powders
of cyclic metamorphosis
in tawny and ivory tones,
shed from membranes in frantic flight.
I flutter,
my resting-place tenuous
on life's capricious threads
spun in temporal looms,
but weighted by thickness of body
I remain
never barren.
Never remiss of direction
I absolve
all remorse
sip the nectar
of immutable destiny,
approaching from within the obscurity
to fly into the light,
dream iridescence
as this dust scatters from my moth feather,
its minuscule mark
settling on landscapes tomorrow foreseen.

Dear Jeanne,
I am an artist and I was searching the internet for poem to compliment a painting I wanted to display and I found your beautiful poem "Moth Wing". I would like to display your poem along with my artwork in an art show at the Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica titled, "Black and White and Color" which is about poetry and art. Would you please give me permission to have your poem next to my artwork? I will of course credit you and you are welcome to attend the opening and I can meet you.I can also send an image of the artwork I want to display if you are interested.
I am including a link to the art center

Thank you so much.
Sincerely,
Monica Maravelias
